ART GLASS NAILS

I trapped black, white and silver polka dots in between layers of clear gel polish to create a sort of 3D art glass look!

MY “CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT” BEAUTY PRODUCTS

Some days are so hectic that I think I would leave the house without my head if it wasn’t attached. However, since I spent my summers with my Mammaw, a woman who did her hair and makeup just to do laundry, I still try to manage to look presentable before stepping out of the house. (You would definitely NEVER catch me in public wearing pajamas, there is always enough time to put real pants on!). Here are the five beauty products that I can’t live without, and they make getting ready in the morning a 10 minute task! (The following products are truly my personal favorites that I have been using for years, none of the companies have solicited my opinion, I just really love them!)

1. Paul Mitchell “Super Clean Spray”
This is my FAVORITE hair spray! It has enough hold to ensure that my signature bun stays in place all day, yet when I take it down at the end of the night I can still run my fingers through it, and it’s not sticky at all.

2. Blinc Mascara
I have incredibly oily skin, especially around my eyes, and although that bodes well for me in the future as my own built in anti aging treatment, it is bad news for my eye makeup. That is until I found Blinc. Their website states that “Once applied, these mascara tubes bind to your lashes and cannot run, smudge, clump, or flake, even if you cry or rub your eyes. Only when you are ready for removal, the tubes will effortlessly slide off your lashes into your hand without the use of a harsh makeup remover.” Which is true! I have cried, gone swimming, worked out, etc and my mascara doesn’t budge, yet at the end of the night when I wash my face, all it takes is some warm water!

3. Kat Von D Autograph Liquid Liner
As I mentioned above, my oily skin makes me prone to raccoon eyes, but I can make it through a day to night without even a smudge from this liner. The applicator wand makes my winged liner-look so easy to achieve, people think I spent a lot of time on it, but really it takes me longer to decide what to wear.

4. Too Faced Tinted BB Cream
With my fair skin, I wouldn’t dare leave the house without some kind of UV protection on my face, not only is this BB cream SPF 20, it also moisturizers, evens out my skin tone, and has anti aging benefits.

5. Sock Bun
I can’t tell you how many compliments I get on my go-to hair style, the sock bun. It only takes about the same amount of time it would for me to throw my hair into a ponytail, but ends up looking way more polished and really pulls a look together. Even though my hair is longer now, I could easily achieve this look before it was long enough to touch my shoulders (it just took a few more bobby pins!).

ART DECO NAILS

I feel like if women in the 1930’s could have done this to their nails, it would have been the cats meow! Doesn’t this just remind you of the Chrysler Building?
